Velocity Risk Unveils New Coastal Homeowners Product for Florida, Texas

Velocity Risk Underwriters LLC has expanded its insurance products for homeowners in coastal areas of Florida and Texas.

The company launched Velocity Flex Home as an additional homeowners product in Texas and Florida to give appointed agents the ability to write in expanded coastal areas.

This new program will be written through Independent Specialty Insurance Co., an A.M. Best “A” rated non-admitted carrier and part of the State National Insurance Group.

According to Jen Kowalski, Velocity Risk vice president, personal lines sales, agents can offer coverage up to $3 million in replacement costs. The product is available in coastal areas where coverage is often difficult to secure.

Velocity Risk Underwriters is committed to coastal customers, offering property coverage to homes and businesses most at risk from severe storms and other catastrophes. VRU is licensed in 50 states as a general agency and underwrites property programs through “A” rated carriers. Some products may only be available in certain states, and some products may only be available from surplus lines insurers.
