Brinson, Myers, Milvo Named to Texas Surplus Lines Office Board

May 22, 2019

Teri Brinson, Randy Myers and Leslie Milvo have been named to the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX) board of directors, with three-year terms set to run through Dec. 31, 2021.

Brinson is vice president at LP Risk Inc. and has been with the organization (previously known as M.D. Jensvold & Co., Inc.) since 1992 in Houston. Prior to this position, she worked as a retail agent for 18 years.

Brinson served as president of the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) in 2017 and has held multiple TSLA committee appointments, after first joining the TSLA Board of Directors in 2011 and becoming an officer in 2014.

Myers has been underwriting commercial property insurance in Texas since 2001. He has 12 years of experience in excess and surplus lines with Admiral Insurance in Austin, and more than five years’ experience in property reinsurance. The combination of these roles has provided him with a different grasp of the critical issues that consumers and insurers experience with the unique weather patterns Texas is currently experiencing.

Milvo has served as risk manager for the City of Austin for almost 26 years. She is a current member of the Texas Chapter of the Public Risk Management Association (TX PRIMA) Board of Directors, and she was named TX PRIMA’s Risk Professional of the Year in 2015.

Leslie is a lifelong risk management practitioner with significant experience in governmental procurement, insurance placement, contract interpretation, Open Meetings Act, and general parliamentary process as required in similar boards.

The new board members assume the vacancies of Chairman Greg Rubel, Vice Chairman Robby Neill and Andrew Fieker, whose terms ended on Dec. 31, 2018.
