Buildings, Tractors Burn in Louisiana Wildfires
Louisiana state forestry officials reported another wildfire in Natchitoches Parish, along Louisiana Highway 117 southwest of Natchitoches.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene after a building fire spread into a wooded area.
Earlier this week about 871 acres, four buildings, two tractors and one truck burned in a wildfire near the Gorum/Flatwoods communities.
The fire was reported just after 11 a.m.. According to state officials, the acreage burned consists of timber company, privately owned and US Forest Service land.
The sheriff’s office says that fire is out.
The cause of the fire in the Gorum/Flatwoods area is under investigation.
