Robbers Crash Minivan into Dallas Chanel Boutique
Police have detained seven robbery suspects, two of whom are juveniles, after a minivan smashed into a Dallas-area Chanel boutique and about 50 pricey purses were stolen.
Some of the high-end bags, known for selling at thousands of dollars apiece, ended up scattered on a street Monday morning.
Highland Park police Lt. Lance Koppa says they’ll be charged with first-degree theft and felony criminal mischief after the early morning robbery.
An alarm alerted police, who determined a minivan was driven through a display window and the suspects fled in the vehicle and on foot. The van was later found abandoned and some purses dumped on a road as police nabbed the suspects.
Koppa says police recovered some of the swiped bags.
