Texas Seeking Professionals for Windstorm Model Peer Review
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is seeking professionals to conduct a peer review of a model developed to determine causes of insured losses on the coast.
The model was developed by an expert panel appointed to advise the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) concerning the extent to which a loss to insurable property was incurred as a result of wind, waves, tidal surges, or rising waters not caused by waves or surges.
The panel met on January 7 in Austin to discuss its work and give the public an opportunity to comment and ask questions on the model being developed.
Peer reviewers will be paid for conducting the review.
- Application deadline: Jan. 25, 2016
- Peer review period: Feb. 5 to March 2, 2016
