Lighthouse Enters Texas Homeowners Insurance Market
Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. (Lighthouse), with headquarters in Florida, began offering homeowners insurance and flood insurance throughout Texas on July 1.
Lighthouse also provides coverage to more than 36,000 policyholders in Louisiana, South Carolina and North Carolina, and distributes products through a network of licensed, independent agents.
Lighthouse specializes in covering coastal, catastrophe-exposed areas. Following the debut of its homeowners and flood products on July 1, the company expects to add a dwelling fire product in Texas in early 2016.
Gary Ardoin joined the Lighthouse team in May to support the state’s marketing effort in the coastal and eastern portion of the state. Ardoin comes to Lighthouse with more than 20 years of experience in the insurance market in sales, marketing and underwriting roles. The Texas marketing team is expected to expand throughout 2015 as the agency force grows.
Lighthouse is currently appointing Texas agents writing homeowners and flood policies, particularly along the coast.
Lighthouse is an admitted and domiciled Louisiana property and casualty insurance company, headquartered in Orlando, Fla. Lighthouse products include homeowner’s, condo, renters, flood and dwelling fire insurance policies that are sold and distributed through licensed, professional insurance agents.
