Thieves Crash into Houston Store, Steal ATM
Houston police are looking for thieves who crashed a truck into a store and stole an ATM but apparently left behind a cellphone while fleeing.
Officials say a convenience store clerk escaped injury in the theft early on Jan. 14. The theft was captured on security video.
The video shows several masked individuals at first moving an ice storage unit away from the front doors. A pickup truck being driven in reverse then smashes through the entryway.
The thieves are seen putting the ATM into the bed of the pickup truck, then driving away amid the store debris.
Police are trying to determine the owner of the cellphone found at the crime scene.
