Cocaine Residue Found on Arkansas Man’s Insurance Card
Jonesboro, Ark., police have arrested a man who they say handed an officer an insurance card covered in cocaine residue during a traffic stop.
The Jonesboro Sun reports 31-year-old Shannon Ray of Jonesboro was charged with several drug charges. Officer Blake Bristow says Ray was pulled over for a traffic violation.
Bristow says he noticed white powder on the card and that it tested positive for cocaine.
Ray tells police neither the car nor the card belong to him. Bristow says he found a bag filled with drugs in Ray’s underwear.
Police say the bag contained cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and ecstasy.
Ray is being held on $7,500 bond at the Craighead County jail. Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney.
