Allstate Appoints Sedillo as Chief Executive of Texas Operations
The Allstate Insurance Company has named Larry Sedillo field senior vice president for the company’s Texas region, where he will lead business operations.
Being appointed to this top spot in Texas has special meaning to the Allstate executive because he started his career more than 25 years ago in El Paso as an Allstate agent. After eight years as an agent directly serving Texas customers, he became a manager and devoted the next 10 years to various sales leadership roles in the Texas Region.
In 2007, Sedillo left Texas for assignments in California, Illinois and New York. Most recently, he was vice president in the company’s Northbrook, Ill., headquarters in the sales department. In this position, he developed and led strategies designed to enhance sales education programs for agency owners and the managers who work with them.
Sedillo will be based in Irving. He replaces Phil Lawson, who is retiring after 36 years with the company.
