Brown & Brown Acquires Louisiana’s Robert Ellis & Associates

Brown & Brown of Louisiana Inc., a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., has acquired substantially all of the insurance agency assets of Robert Ellis & Associates Inc. of Mandeville, La., the companies announced.

With annualized revenues of approximately $1.3 million, Robert Ellis & Associates specializes in providing programs of insurance products and services to members of professional associations in Louisiana and Mississippi, including dentists and lawyers.

Robert Ellis and his team will continue to operate from their current location in Mandeville, under the leadership of Mark Romero, executive vice president of Brown & Brown of Louisiana.

Brown & Brown Inc., through its subsidiaries, offers a broad range of insurance and reinsurance products and related services nationwide. Additionally, certain Brown & Brown subsidiaries offer a variety of risk management, third-party administration, and other services.
