America First Insurance Appoints Cornell to VP, Finance

America First Insurance, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company headquartered in Richardson, Texas, has appointed Thornton Cornell to vice president, Finance.

Cornell will direct the annual business planning process, oversee month-to-month financial reporting and analysis, and develop strategies for expense management. He will be based in the company’s home office in Richardson.

Cornell has 18 years of financial and operational experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He joined America First Insurance in 2007, serving as its financial analysis manager. Cornell also managed the transition team for the company following Liberty Mutual’s acquisition of Safeco Corporation in September 2008.
