Mohr Named President of La. Independent Agents Association
The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana announced that Jeffrey M. Mohr, of Lewis Mohr Real Estate and Insurance Agency LLC in Baton Rouge, recently was named president of the organization. Mohr previously served as president-elect and secretary-treasurer, and was on the IIABL Board of Directors for eight years.
In 1982 Mohr began working with his father upon his graduation from LSU in 1982 as a CSR/producer. He became agency principal in 1984.
He was elected to the IIABL Board of Directors in 1998, during which time he served in a number of leadership positions, including Finance, Technical Affairs, and Education Committees, Independent Agents Service Corporation, and as a member of the IIABL Executive Committee. He is past president of Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Baton Rouge, and served on the Louisiana Department of Insurance Education Advisory Council.
The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana is a professional trade association with approximately 400 member agencies representing over 3,500 insurance agents throughout Louisiana.
