Okla. Insurance Commissioner Names New Chief Examiner
Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland announced the promotion of Chris Van Ess to chief examiner and director of the Financial Division. Van Ess is a five-year veteran of the Oklahoma Insurance Department, serving most recently as deputy chief examiner. Van Ess earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting
and holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Public Examiner (CFE).
“Chris has been instrumental in modernizing our examination and market analysis processes,” said Commissioner Holland. “Chris exemplifies the dedicated and hardworking employees of the Oklahoma Insurance Department.”
