Lighthouse Underwriters Expands ElderCare Program in Texas

Lighthouse Underwriters LLC (www.lighthouseunderwriters.com), a program underwriting company that works with select industry groups, has expanded its ElderCare program with an assisted living package in Texas.

The package includes combined General Liability/Professional Liability, Automobile and Excess coverage for assisted living facilities, independent living facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) in Texas.

“With the passage of meaningful tort reform by the Texas legislature, we are pleased to be able to offer our ElderCare program in Texas,” said program director Saye Gbalazeh. “We believe there is a tremendous opportunity to write coverage for high-quality assisted living facilities throughout the state.”

For the Texas package, Lighthouse Underwriters offers in-house underwriting authority, a broad Professional Liability form, a proprietary rating and a market with an A.M. Best “A” (excellent) rated carrier.
