CAA Elects 2004 Management Committee
Austin, Texas-based Combined Agents of America LLC announced its 2004 management committee, elected to serve two-year terms by CAA’s board of members. The new committee is as follows:
Chairman of the Board – Jim Whorton, president of Whorton Insurance Services, Austin, and Round Rock Insurance, Round Rock. Whorton previously served as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin, as the chairman of property committee and Regional Vice President of IMPACT for IIAT, and previously chaired CNA’s PACER panel. He was also one of the original founders of CAA.
President – Brent Borgstedte, president of GBS Insurance Agency Inc., Bellaire, Texas.
Executive Vice President – Jerry Boles, president of Grona Boles & Martin Insurance & Financial Services, San Antonio. Boles is a graduate of Texas A&M University and was a past president of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students.
Second Vice President – Johnny Shropshire, president of The Shropshire Agency Inc., Lubbock. Shropshire is the former President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Lubbock.
Secretary – Don C. Jones, president of Crockett Insurance Service, president of Houston-Walker Counties Insurance Service & Crockett Financial Service, Crockett, Texas.
Treasurer – Bill Bridges, executive vice president of Duncan, Fraser and Bridges, Pampa, Texas. Bridges also serves on the Texas Mutual Agents Council and Republic’s Commercial Lines Council. He previously served as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of the Panhandle.
Past President – Bill Russell, founder and president of Bill Russell Insurance Agency Inc., Austin. Russell is currently on Hanover’s Agency advisory council. Russell served as the Past Chairman of CNA’s Austin Branch PACER in 2002, an agency advisory committee. Previously he also served on agency advisory councils with CNA, Commercial Union, and General Accident (CGU), and was a member of CNA’s Global Specialty PACER. Russell was also one of the original CAA founders.
