Lucien Wright Purchased by Agency Executives

The Lucien Wright Insurance Agency of Fort Worth, Texas has been purchased by two executives of the firm, Scott Finks and Bill Merritt. Lucien Wright has served the Fort Worth area since 1937. The agency is located at 1200 West Freeway, Suite 200, in Fort Worth.

Merritt joined the business in 1983 as an insurance producer and has been active in the management and development of the business. He earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1983.

Finks joined the firm in 1991 and his practice targets the construction and manufacturing business sectors.

Lucien Wright Insurance Agency was founded by the late Lucien Wright in 1937 as an independent agency specializing in automobile and homeowners insurance. He later added commercial insurance.

In the late 1950s, Wright was joined by his nephew, Carroll W. Collins, who subsequently purchased the firm in 1963. Under Collins’ leadership the agency grew to 22 employees and represents many of the leading insurance carriers in the United States for personal and commercial insurance.

Lucien Wright specializes in the sales of leading edge insurance products including: personal insurance, workers’ compensation, business, automobile, commercial property, surety bonds and employee benefits.
