A.M. Best Co. affirmed an “A-” financial strength rating for Comercial America Insurance Company, a Houston-based unit of ING’s Mexican insurer, ING Comercial America S.A. de C.V.
Comercial focuses on the Texas Hispanic property and casualty market, with 2001 net premium growth of 18.2 percent over 2000.
More than 85 percent of the company’s risk exposures are covered by quota share reinsurance from Transatlantic Re.
