Cotality Appoints Former USAA CEO Peacock to Board
Property information and analytics provider Cotality said it appointed former USAA chief executive Wayne Peacock as an independent member of its board, effective Feb. 18.
Peacock spent 36 years with USAA, becoming CEO in 2019. He led USAA through a period of accelerated digital transformation, operational modernization, and economic disruption.

“Wayne’s depth of experience and his track record leading teams through technology transformation in complex industries will be a strong addition to our board,” said Patrick L. Dodd, president and CEO of Irvine, California-based Cotality. “As data, analytics, and AI continue to reshape housing, insurance, and capital markets, his expertise and support will accelerate Cotality’s continued growth and long-term strategic priorities.”
Last December Peacock was named a director on Hub International’s board. He has also held board and executive committee roles with the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, The Institutes and the Insurance Information Institute, the Business Roundtable, and the Insurance Policy Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Board. He also serves on the advisory board of The Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership and Ethics at Duke University.

Chubb Names MacLean ESIS Inc. Division President
Chubb, headquartered in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, named Brent MacLean as division president of ESIS Inc., a leading third-party administrator and wholly owned subsidiary of Chubb. He succeeds Jim Shevlin, who is retiring after 24 years of leadership and service at Chubb.
MacLean has held multiple leadership positions specializing in workers’ compensation and brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role. Before joining ESIS, he served as CEO of CompIQ Solutions.
MacLean is responsible for ESIS’s profit and loss performance and advancing product development, customer service, relationship management and sales strategies for the division. He will report to Matt Merna, senior vice president, Chubb Group and division president, North America major accounts.
BHSI Promotes Property Leadership Team Members
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) made three promotions within its property leadership team, naming Ryan Abelli and Chris Lemoine as co-heads of wholesale general property and JP Ahlgren as senior vice president, property.
Abelli joined BHSI in 2013 and has 18 years of property underwriting experience. He was most recently senior vice president, wholesale property. He is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lemoine joined BHSI in 2013 and has 19 years of property underwriting experience. He was most recently senior vice president, wholesale property. He is based in Boston.
Ahlgren joined BHSI in 2014 and has 18 years of property underwriting experience. In his expanded role, he will oversee day-to-day field underwriting operations and will report to Ryan. JP is based in Boston and can be reached at john.ahlgren@bhspecialty.com.
