CFC Hires Aspen’s Camara as CEO of CFC USA
Specialist insurer CFC said it has named Justin Camara as chief executive officer of CFC USA
Camara, a 30-year industry veteran, will arrive to lead CFC USA’s growth strategy in the U.S. from his latest role as executive vice president and portfolio director for financial lines and professional liability at Aspen Insurance Group. He will start during the first quarter 2026.
“He brings a wealth of specialty experience and his strong track record of business building makes him a natural fit for the entrepreneurial culture at CFC,” said CFC Group CEO Louise O’Shea, in a statement. “His appointment reflects our commitment to expand our presence in the US and under his leadership, we are confident CFC USA will continue to deliver exceptional service and expertise to our clients and partners.”
At Aspen, Camara oversaw a large portfolio of specialty insurance business across U.S. and international markets. His other senior roles have included launching Great American’s professional liability division in California, and leading Liberty Mutual’s professional lines expansion on the West Coast. He began his insurance career at AIG in New York.
CFC said Michael Brunero had stepped up as managing director for CFC USA on an interim basis in January 2025, following the departure of Shannon Groeber.
