Allianz Commercial Appoints Contreras North American Portfolio Solutions Leader

Allianz Commercial, headquartered in New York City, appointed Jenna Contreras to the North American distribution team in the newly created role of portfolio solutions leader for wholesale and managing general agents (MGA)/programs.

Based in Chicago, Contreras leads the wholesale and MGA/programs’ key strategic broker trading relationships across the U.S. and Canada. Contreras joins Allianz Commercial from Risk Placement Services (RPS, the wholesale division of AJG), where she was the national market relations manager. Previously, she held business development positions at Prime Insurance Company and SIS Wholesale Insurance Services.

Risk Strategies Appoints Simon Managing Director, Private Equity

Risk Strategies, headquartered in Boston, hired Craig D. Simon as managing director in its National Private Equity Practice. In his role, Simon will be responsible for brokering, servicing, and program administration for clients in the private equity sector.

Based in New York City, Simon has over 25 years of experience. Before joining Risk Strategies, Simon was a team leader for U.S. energy & power at Marsh. He also served as senior managing director at Crystal & Company (now Alliant) for over 15 years. Simon previously led the U.S. liability insurance brokering as the National Casualty Practice Leader for Willis North America (now Willis Towers Watson).
