AXA XL Hires Bakker as Head of Environmental Package Solutions, Middle Market, Americas

AXA XL in the Americas hired Peter Bakker as head of environmental package solutions for the middle market in the Americas. Bakker is based in New York.

Bakker joins AXA XL after 13 years with Aspen Insurance, where he most recently served as vice president and New York regional manager for Aspen’s environmental casualty combined form offering. He previously worked at Godfreys, Chartered Loss Adjusters in Wellington, New Zealand.

Tokio Marine HCC Names Gaine as Head of North American Distribution and Heath as Head of Distribution, International

Tokio Marine HCC, based in Houston, Texas, appointed Brendan Gaine as head of North American distribution. In this newly created role, Gaine is responsible for developing new and enhancing existing distribution relationships for TMHCC’s specialty products in North America.

Gaine joins TMHCC from Brightway Insurance, where he was head of national franchise sales. He has over 30 years of experience serving some of the largest insurers in North America, including QBE North America and Liberty Mutual Group.

TMHCC also appointed Stuart Heath as head of distribution – international. Heath previously served as TMHCC’s head of delegated property.
