Bowie Promoted to CEO of MGU Private Client Select Insurance
Managing general underwriter Private Client Select Insurance Services, majority owned by Stone Point Capital and American International Group (AIG), said Ross Bowie has been appointed chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Bowie joined Private Client Select in February 2024 as president and chief risk officer. Before joining PCS, Bowie was president and chief underwriting officer of Orchid Insurance. He previously held senior leadership roles at Bankers Insurance Group and ASI, a Progressive subsidiary.
He now succeeds interim CEO Christopher Flatt, who held the position since March 2024. Flatt will stay on the PCS board of directors.
AIG with Stone Point Capital in 2023 formed Private Client Select Insurance Services, serving the high net worth and ultra high net worth market. AIG’s Private Client Group business moved to the new PCS platform and brand.
Last July, PCS announced it had entered into an agreement with Ryan Specialty on a distribution partnership.
