People Moves: Falcon 4 Key Senior Hires; New Chief HR Officer at Hippo

Falcon Expands Leadership Team with Key Senior Hires

Falcon Risk Holdings LLC (Falcon), the US Financial, Professional and Cyber lines MGA, has announced four senior appointments to its team.

Bryan Harmsen joins the team as chief operating officer. Harmsen previously served at Munich Re, where he was head of data operations and process improvement. Harmsen has held several senior operational roles in the insurance industry, including nine years at IBM, culminating in a leadership role implementing their global delivery framework for IT service delivery.

Danielle Cirillo, Falcon’s new head of private company management liability, brings over 12 years of insurance industry experience. She was previously at Chubb, serving as a regional leader for private company and not-for-profit management liability.

Andrew Menger joined earlier in the year to serve as head of commercial management liability. He was previously at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he was vice president of executive lines. Menger brings over 25 years of commercial management liability experience and has held multiple senior roles.

Tim Barry rounds out the management liability team as head of financial institutions. He was previously at Everest, leading the Asset Management team. Before joining the insurance industry, Barry spent five years as an equity sales trader.

Hippo Hires Kelly Wolf as Chief Human Resources Officer

Hippo said Kelly Wolf has joined the company as Chief Human Resources Officer. Wolf will lead Hippo’s human resources team and is responsible for critical people-centered functions including employee relations, talent acquisition and management, and leadership development.

With over 20 years of experience leading diverse HR organizations, Kelly joins Hippo from online retailer Zulily where she was VP of People, overseeing human resources, talent acquisition, DE&I and more. Prior to that, Kelly led various people-centric teams at Amazon and Shopbop.com including employee relations, talent management and leadership development.
