Comparison Website The Zebra Raises $38.5 Million
Digital personal lines comparison site The Zebra has reported $38.5 million in Series C fundraising.
The round was led by Accel and included other current investors Silverton Partners, Daher Capital, Floodgate Fund, Ballast Point Ventures as well as Weatherford Capital and Keith Melnick, The Zebra’s CEO.
According to The Zebra, it has enjoyed strong revenue growth with sales up almost 200% year over year to nearly $37 million in 2019.
Austin, Texas-based The Zebra, which launched in 2012, compares rates from dozens of insurance companies and provides auto and home insurance shoppers with agent support. Among the carriers it quotes are State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Farmers, Liberty Mutual, Allstate, Travelers, Chubb, USAA, Farmers and Nationwide.
It had raised $61.5 million from investors including Mark Cuban prior to this latest round.
