Kallo to Succeed McAuliffe as President of Berkley Regional Specialty
W.R. Berkley Corp. has named Miklos F. Kallo as president of Berkley Regional Specialty. He succeeds Paul S. McAuliffe, who will retire at the end of the year after 15 years of service with W. R. Berkley Corp. The appointment is effective immediately.
Kallo has served in senior executive positions at two operating units of W. R. Berkley Corp. since joining the organization in 1999. In 2008, he was named vice president of finance and accounting for Nautilus Insurance Group. Prior to that appointment, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer at anther Berkley unit, Preferred Employers Insurance Co.
Robert Berkley Jr., president and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley Corp., credited McAuliffe with doing an “excellent job in building Berkley Regional Specialty’s presence as an important excess and surplus lines provider for W. R. Berkley agents over the past seven years.”
Berkley Regional Specialty provides excess and surplus lines coverage on a national basis to small to medium-sized insureds with low to moderate insurance risk. Its product lines include general liability, liquor liability and some property and inland marine coverage. It serves a limited distribution channel consisting of select agents for W. R. Berkley Insurance Group member companies.
