Former FBI Cyber Leader Trainor Joins Aon Risk Solutions
Aon Risk Solutions announced the appointment of James C. Trainor as senior vice president in its Cyber Solutions Group. Trainor joins Aon after a career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he most recently led the Cyber Division at FBI headquarters.
Trainor leaves the FBI as its highest-ranking cyber expert. During his 20-year career with the FBI, he helped devise strategies to combat ransomware and additional emerging forms of cybercrime, spearheaded high-profile investigations, and managed numerous incidents at the nexus of cybercrime and national security.
In his new role, Trainor will help shape Aon’s overall cyber strategy on behalf of clients, working with colleagues in technology, system integration and risk transfer.
Trainor joined the FBI as a special agent in 1996. Over his FBI career, he served in both overseas and domestic assignments focused on cyber, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, intelligence and criminal matters. T
He will be based in New York and serve Aon clients around the world.
