Amica Mutual to Offer Auto Insurance Through Compare.com
Amica Mutual Insurance has begun offering auto insurance quotes through the online auto comparison site Compare.com. Amica will offer quotes for consumers in California and Texas starting this month, with plans to add more states in the near future.
Compare.com offers auto insurance quotes in 48 states.
Amica joins a roster of carriers that includes Liberty Mutual, Mercury, 21st Century, Metromile and National General.
Compare.com promises customers real insurance quotes, instead of estimates. Users enter their information just once to receive multiple rates, side by side, for comparison. Customers who want to buy one of the policies offered may do so directly with the insurance carrier online, over the phone or through a local representative.
Compare.com is a limited liability corporation headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, majority owned by the Admiral Group, the UK’s second largest auto insurer.
Amica Mutual Insurance Co., founded in 1907 is the nation’s oldest mutual insurer of automobiles. The company, based in Lincoln, Rhode Island, is a national writer of auto, home, marine and umbrella insurance.
