Willis Launches Disease Response Center Hub for Ebola Preparedness
Willis Group Holdings has launched a Disease Response Center microsite on its web page to help business clients prepare their workplaces against the threat of Ebola.
The portal features content from a variety of official resources, including the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the American Medical Association, as well as Willis Client Advisories, to help guide firms through potential workplace risks, human resources considerations, travel alerts and workplace restrictions. The site will be updated as information develops.
Willis said it created the portal in response to inquiries from employers as to what preparations and actions they should be taking.
Currently, most workers in the U.S. are unlikely to encounter Ebola virus or individuals with Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF), Willis said. However, as highlighted in a recent Willis Client Advisory Alert, exposure to the virus or someone with EHF may be more likely in certain sectors, including the health care, mortuary and airline industries.
