McClellan, McVicker Head New Zurich Contract Surety Teams
Zurich North America announced the creation of two contract surety teams focused on specific customer segments—one for middle market contract surety and one for large accounts.
Tom McClellan will head up Middle Market Contract Surety and Dave McVicker will lead Account Contract Surety.
Both will report to Mike Bond, head of Surety for Zurich North America.
“We recognized that our mid-sized and larger national customers each have different needs and require focused underwriting resources to better service those unique needs,” Bond said in a statement. “Having teams dedicated to each segment will allow Zurich to serve those customers in ways more tailored to their specific requirements and expectations.”
McVicker, who has 30 years of experience with Zurich, transitions from his position as vice president of Surety, responsible for all of contract surety in the Central region. His past experience ranges from surety field underwriting to regional management.
McClellan was previously vice president of Surety, responsible for all of contract surety in the East region. McClellan has 10 years at Zurich and 20 years in the surety industry.
The Zurich Surety management team remains in place. Aaron Ort continues in his role as head of Commercial Surety, Gonzalo Videla is still head of International Surety, and Brian Hodges remains as the head of Surety product underwriting.
