Group Seeks More Young Professional Liability Specialists

June 15, 2011

The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) has launched a program, Future PLUS initiative, it hopes will attract and educate the next generation of professional liability insurance specialists.

The Future PLUS initiative includes a new membership level for professionals who are 35 years old or younger that allows professionals who are newer to the industry to join PLUS for $50 annually. This membership includes the full benefits of a membership in PLUS, including member rates for the PLUS curriculum, national and chapter events, member access to www.plusweb.org, and receipt of the monthly PLUS Journal

In addition, a newly-created Future PLUS Committee will elect a member to participate in all PLUS Board meetings.

“PLUS is committed to helping cultivate and retain the new leaders in professional liability,” said Daniel Standish, current president of PLUS and a partner at Wiley Rein, LLP. “Through the Future PLUS initiative we believe we are putting new professionals at the center of everything we do, and helping to support the future of the professional liability industry as a whole.”

PLUS is an international, non-profit association with 6,000 members worldwide. The organization provides educational and networking opportunities focused on professional liability. Membership is open to anyone interested in the promotion and development of the professional liability industry. For more information, visit www.plusweb.org.
