AIG Expands Hurricane Service for High Net Worth Clients
AIG Private Client Group said it will begin offering its Hurricane Protection Unit service to some of it high net worth policyholders in New York, New Jersey and Florida.
The service provides a hurricane mitigation specialist who, prior to a hurricane’s arrival, works with clients to develop plans to physically protect their homes. If needed, the specialist also helps devise plans for how and when to move artwork, automobiles and watercraft to safety.
It also provides tracking services for hurricanes, alerting homeowners to the possible arrival of a threatening storm. After a hurricane, clients who have the service have access to a catastrophe response unit that can quickly inspect the property and assess any damage.
The service is now available to policyholders in Hillsborough County, Florida, Nassau County, New York, and Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth and Ocean Counties in New Jersey. It has been available since July 2006 to policyholders in coastal Florida and Suffolk County, New York.
AIG Private Client Group – a division of the personal lines property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International Group Inc. – caters to the risk management needs of high net-worth individuals and their families.
