Former S&P Analyst Ashab Joins Benfield
Benfield, an independent reinsurance and risk intermediary, has appointed Mohammed Ashab as senior vice president to its Financial Consulting practice.
Before joining Benfield, Ashab was a director at Standard and Poor’s where he rated property and casualty insurance companies and structured products. He began his actuarial career at John Hancock Mutual Life and later worked at Milliman & Robertson. He also served as actuarial manager at Metropolitan Property & Casualty before moving to Guy Carpenter to become an associate actuary. At GE Capital, Ashab served as vice president of Capital Markets Services where he specialized in structuring and executing securitization transactions, later transitioning to the position of risk manager for GE Industrial Risk Insurers.
Ashab is based in Benfield’s Philadelphia office.
