ISO Teams with LexisNexis for Policy Forms Distribution
Insurance Services Office Inc. (ISO) and LexisNexis have entered into an agreement that allows LexisNexis to distribute ISO policy forms to its customers, primarily lawyers and law firms.
This is the first time that ISO has licensed a third party to distribute ISO policy forms to non-insurers, further expanding the scope of one of its core services—policy forms for all 18 ISO lines of insurance.
Under this accord, LexisNexis, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc., has a nonexclusive worldwide license to provide ISO forms electronically to customers through its dedicated network.
“Before this agreement, it was difficult for non-insurers to get ISO policy forms. Our licensing agreement with LexisNexis will make ISO forms more easily available to entities other than insurers,” Domenick Yezzi, Jr., ISO’s vice president for specialty commercial lines, said.
“Our alliance with ISO will result in a tremendous time savings for customers by enabling them to link to key insurance forms directly from the LexisNexis service,” Leigh Sempeles, vice president, publishing and large law firm markets, added. “We are proud to be the only on-line legal information provider to provide such a service.”
LexisNexis works in partnership with its customers to tailor and integrate valuable information content and productivity tools into their daily workflow. As a result, “LexisNexis continues to equip its legal and business customers with the necessary tools to make confident, successful business decisions,” Sempeles said.
