AMS Services Acquires ‘The Solution’ from ChannelPoint

AMS Services Inc., a provider of insurance software and services, announced the acquisition of The Solution, the IAS business of InsurQuote from ChannelPoint. The acquisition includes a Windows® rating product that is presently deployed in eight eastern states, as well as all assets and other infrastructure systems at the IAS site in Beachwood, Ohio. The Solution products will be combined with the AMS Rating Services products to form the rating product line for AMS Services Inc.

The acquisition will allow AMS to upgrade DOS rating customers and to provide a single rating product to the combined customer base in those eight states. AMS will improve the delivery of The Solution rate-sets through electronic distribution and will consolidate resources that otherwise would be expended on supporting multiple products in multiple states.
