RLI Develops Commercial Surety Unit

RLI Corp. has formed RLI Commercial Surety to augment its surety division. The group of commercial surety professionals will develop the product line into a significant component of RLI’s successful surety segment, focusing on small to middle market account business produced primarily from national, regional and large local agents and brokers.

The group will be headed by Doug Paterson, vice president of commercial surety. Initially, operations will consist of offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Boston and Philadelphia.
