Consumers Feel Gas Pains
The rising price of gasoline has Americans changing their driving habits according to a recent survey by Progressive Insurance. The survey of 397 consumers showed that 49 percent are driving less because of inflated gas prices, and 53 percent are rethinking summer vacation plans.
And if gas prices continue to increase, 43 percent said they would reduce the frequency with which they drive to visit relatives. More than half said they’d spend more time surfing the Internet or talking on the phone.
