Industry Groups Discuss Technology Pipeline For
At a meeting last month at the Independent Insurance Agents of America’s Alexandria, Va. offices, several industry group leaders discussed IIAA’s initiative, Big “I” Markets, to use new technology to deliver insurance products to customers of independent agencies.
Participants included American Association of Managing General Agents President James Roe, National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices President Timothy Pedersen and Executive Director Richard Bouhan, and IIAA past president George Shaffer.
Big “I” Markets is a soon-to-be released online service created by IIAA that will enable member agents to access specialty and niche coverages for their clients through an interactive Internet-based program.
IIAA officials demonstrated the new service at the April 6 meeting. While all three groups were reportedly pleased with the exchange of information the meeting provided, no comment has yet been made on whether the groups were pleased with the new application.
