Iowa Nurse Charged With Insurance Fraud
An Iowa woman was charged with one count of Insurance Fraud – Presenting False Information (Class D Felony), following an investigation by the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau.
Amanda Manatt, age 35, of Marshalltown allegedly falsified patient records while working as a registered nurse at a hospital. Manatt caused the submission of an insurance claim to an insurer for medical services that were not provided.
The charges against Manatt stem from an investigation that began in April of 2024.
Manatt was arrested on May 31, 2024 and transported to the Marshalltown Police Department. Manatt posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
