Missouri Employers Mutual Names Smith VP, Claims; Expands Executive Team
Tim Smith has joined Missouri Employers Mutual (MEM) as vice president of Claims. He will provide executive-level leadership to claims outcomes, strategy and initiatives. Smith comes to MEM from NORCAL Mutual Insurance Co. where he served as senior vice president and chief claims officer. He has more than 25 years of experience leading and managing claims organizations.
Sarah Mazzocco has been named chief human resource officer. In her new role, she will continue to lead all aspects of talent management, strategic workforce and facility planning. Mazzocco has more than 17 years of experience and joined MEM in 2017 after serving as an independent consultant and in leadership roles at the University of Arkansas, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and H-E-B Grocery Co.
Kevin Miller has been named chief operating officer. Miller will oversee the company’s strategic value delivery as well as functions for digital transformation and information technology. Prior to joining MEM, Miller held numerous IT leadership positions at CUNA Mutual. He has more than 20 years of experience in insurance sales and marketing, new business, underwriting, policy administration and claims.
Jennifer Peck has been named chief strategy and customer officer. Peck will lead the development of ongoing growth strategies as well as functions for marketing, customer care, community impact, and sales enablement. Peck has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communication and joined MEM in 2001 after serving five years as assistant director at the University of Missouri News Bureau.
