United Fire in Iowa Reports 4Q Earnings Loss
United Fire Group Inc. on Tuesday reported a loss of $23.2 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based company said it had a loss of 93 cents. Losses, adjusted for investment gains, were $1.04 per share.
The property and casualty insurance company posted revenue of $293.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $289.7 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $14.8 million, or 58 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.15 billion.
United Fire shares have risen almost 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 17% in the last 12 months.
