QBE NA Appoints Zimmerman Health Care Risk Lead in Nebraska

QBE North America, an integrated specialist Insurer, has appointed Theresa M. Zimmerman global risk solutions lead for QBE Integrated Advantage for Healthcare. She is based in Omaha, Nebraska.

The newly created role supports the recently launched QBE Integrated Advantage for Healthcare. This dedicated business unit offers customers access to a single team organized under a devoted leader that comprises healthcare professionals in underwriting, claims, global risk solutions, distribution and product. The specialized business unit applies the diverse expertise and experience of a team with an average of more than 20 years of experience in the industry to deliver tailored solutions for hospitals, physician groups, medical facilities and managed care organizations.

A registered nurse and attorney, Zimmerman comes to QBE with more than 25 years of experience with a focus on the healthcare industry. She is a past president of both the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers (ASHRM), and the Ohio Society of Healthcare Risk Managers. Zimmerman is a published author, a two-time winner of the ASHRM Journal Author of the Year award and has spoken nationally on risk management, patient safety, legal and compliance topics.
