CPA Mutual Acquires Michigan’s Professional Management Consultants Assoc.
CPA Mutual, headquartered in Gainesville, Florida, has acquired Michigan-based Professional Management Consultants Association of America (PMCA) in a move to expand brand awareness among more CPA firms, particularly those that serve the healthcare industry.
Since 2014, PMCA has been an insured member of CPA Mutual, delivering comprehensive group professional liability insurance to its membership.
Founded in 1987, PMCA serves experienced health care management consultants across the U.S. who deliver guidance, support and advice to physicians, dentists, lawyers and accountants.
The acquisition solidifies PMCA’s ability to continue to provide one of the most comprehensive and affordable professional liability policies to its members as a group benefit, the company said. In addition to the education and resources through PMCA, members can also access risk management guidance and resources through CPA Mutual and its partners. Public accounting firms that join PMCA can obtain professional liability insurance, cyber liability insurance and other products directly through CPA Mutual.
Since issuing its first policy to member accounting firms in 1987, CPA Mutual’s business model has focused on actively helping public accounting firms identify risk and make improvements in their practices to reduce the potential for future claims. In recent years, this has included risk management for cyber liability and coverage.
