Allstate Moving 400 Tech Jobs to Chicago
Insurance company Allstate has announced plans to open an innovation hub with 400 employees at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
The Northbrook-based company announced that the 45,000-square-foot office space will house the company’s Quantitative Research & Analytics and Connected Car teams.
The research team helps the company anticipate risk and develop new products and services. The connected car team’s projects include the Drivewise mobile app, which collects information on driver behavior and rewards safe drivers.
The Merchandise Mart includes many tech companies among its tenants.
Alcohol maker Beam Suntory recently announced it is moving its global headquarters to the Merchandise Mart from suburban Deerfield by the end of next year.
