Meadowbrook Insurance Acquires Mackinaw Administrators

Meadowbrook Insurance Group Inc., based in Southfield, Mich., has acquired Mackinaw Administrators LLC (Mackinaw).

Founded in 1995, Mackinaw is a Michigan-based program and claims administrator that provides tailored insurance and risk management programs and other related services for both group and individual clients. The firm has offices in Michigan and Ohio, and services various lines of business including workers’ compensation, general liability, medical professional liability and liquor liability.

Under the terms of the transaction, Mackinaw will operate as an independent subsidiary within Meadowbrook. Mackinaw will maintain its present headquarters in Brighton, Mich., and continue to be led by its current management team, including the company’s president, Stephen Flechsig.
