Arthur J. Gallagher Acquires James R. Weir in Minnesota

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired James R. Weir Insurance Agency Inc. in Mankato, Minn.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jay Weir, Michael Donohoe and their associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Michael Pesch, head of Gallagher’s Midwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Weir is a retail insurance broker providing commercial property/casualty, risk management consulting, employee benefits and personal lines insurance services to its mid-to-large market clients throughout the Midwest.

Itasca, Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher is an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm.
