Michigan Counties’ Workers’ Comp Fund Returns More than $2.5M
The Michigan Association of Counties Workers’ Compensation Fund announced the 2013 surplus premium totaled $2,581,929. It has been distributed to members of the fund.
With over 70 public entities, the fund distributed dividend checks in late December, averaging a 35 percent return of annual premiums to members, the highest of returns exceeding $260,000.
The fund was established in 1979.
The Michigan Association of Counties, founded on Feb. 1, 1898, is a statewide organization dedicated to the representation of all county commissioners in Michigan.
