Morrison Appointed Chief Legal Officer at Ohio Workers’ Comp Bureau
Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Administrator/CEO Steve Buehrer has appointed Sarah Morrison as chief legal counsel.
Morrison will be a member of BWC’s executive staff responsible for coordinating all legal activities for BWC, providing legal advice and assistance, and acting as chief ethics officer for agency.
With 15 years of experience, Morrison was most recently a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Columbus. She has specialized in all types of civil and commercial litigation, including complex litigation and class actions. Her trial practice involved appearances in federal and state courts, and she has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court. She has also represented clients before the Ohio Elections Commission and Ohio General Assembly.
She is also a lecturer in the areas of professionalism, legislation and civil litigation. Other areas of experience include employment law, contracts, business divorces, environmental law, elections and consumer claims.
