Wife of Slain Missouri Insurance Salesman Faces Charges
The widow of a western Missouri insurance salesman who was shot to death in his office is now charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Thirty-nine-year-old Teresa Stone, of Independence, is the second person charged in connection with the killing of 42-year-old Randy Stone, a Farmers Insurance agent, in March 2010.
David Love, the couple’s former pastor at Hope Baptist Church, was arrested in November in South Carolina while working as a truck driver. He has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
Relatives have said Love and Teresa Stone had been having an affair for years.
Jackson County prosecutors announced the widow’s indictment on June 1, 2011. She was released on $50,000 bond.
Her attorney, John P. O’Connor, says he hasn’t had a chance to read the indictment and is not prepared to comment on it.
