Cincinnati Welcomes Food Vendors, But $1M in Insurance Required

Downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, workers and residents have some new quick-lunch choices as the city opens three lots for mobile food trucks. Vendors must have a health department license and proof of at least $1 million in liability insurance.

Vendors of tacos, chili, pizza, burgers and Cuban sandwiches are among some food sellers offering their wares through an effort by city leaders to provide lunch choices and a friendly atmosphere for the downtown area.

City council recently passed an ordinance establishing three spots for the trucks.
