ACUITY Names New Mich. Underwriter, Adds Board Director
Sheboygan, Wis.-based regional property/casualty insurer ACUITY announced Christina Hess recently joined ACUITY’s staff as a commercial field underwriter for the insurer’s Michigan region.
Prior to joining ACUITY’s staff, Hess worked for 11 years at Hastings Mutual Insurance Co. as a commercial lines supervisor.
Meanwhile, ACUITY’s board of directors recently named Margaret A. Farrow as the insurer’s newest director. Farrow is the former lieutenant governor of the Wisconsin. She served from 2001 through 2003. In her service she led many boards and councils, including being chair of the governor’s Work-Based Learning Board and governor’s designee on the Council on Workforce Investment.
Prior to her appointment as lieutenant governor, Farrow had a long history of involvement in public service that included being elected state senator of Wisconsin’s 33rd district and state representative of the 99th district, as well as being appointed to more than 20 statewide and regional commissions, committees and boards.
Farrow owns a private consultancy that specializes in matters involving workforce and government issues.
